Nice to know we're not alone... -

Incidentally, we've both been tagged as squid molestors. I feel the hand of a certain Egg in this...

Juzzzy (with three zeds - that's a bit greedy). I'm hurt (sniffle) that you would use my name in vain regarding this "squid molestor" tagging. Please credit me with more originality than that. Thanks mate. I will do the same for you one day. I only put nice tags on peeeps blogs otherwise none at all. Did you finish your Enid Blyton book last night?

I've only got three zeds because some other sumbitch had got Juzzy.
As if anyone would be so affected (he says, swishing his scarf around his neck, replacing his cigarette holder in his mouth, and dramaticlly sweeping away into the sunset)-

Alrice mate calm down, calm down..........what blog are we in now? Too many Daves, too many zeds, too many Juzzzzzzzzzzy's? No? Oh time warp. It's wicked imps. He doesn't have tantrums about the alphabet. He likes to notch up expulsions from schools instead. I think that's much more grown-up

I'll you what, Eggers (plays pop), I'm going to show you how grown up I am. I am going to take my ball home RIGHT NOW. See how you like that. So there. (Actually, where are we indeed? It's all getting terribly confusing...)

Ssh we are actually in Dr Frankenfurter's castle. And your ball had burst (or was that a tyre) just before we got to the gates. I'm Brad your Janet and we are just gonna burst into song. I told you (in a previous blog) that the world can be a better place if you just burst into song. You suggested Oliver, I think Truly Scrumptious...... actually it's time for my medication now.......

Is your real name Holden Caulfield, by any chance?

Huge flattery with the "Catcher In the Rye" reference.

That wasn’t flattery, although I’m glad you took it as such, I was asking a serious question.
I’m on a life-long quest to find Holden. I thought you might be him.

You are actually about the fifth person to describe me as Holden! At least I've not been likened to Micky Mouse.
"Granted, like many of his fans, Holden Caulfield turns out to be nuts or at least residing in an insane asylum.(Sorry, if you think that those stupid surprise endings are the best reason to read Salinger.) Yet, in Caulfield's insanity, there is a transcendent theme. By being the pissed off, nasty, cynical insane bastard; Holden Caulfield suggests that it is ok to be a shit. Your criticisms of the world are not invalid and nothing you say or think is so bad that you need to repress it. Ironically, this is not only something that is essential to survival but is also the key to ultimately becoming a decent caring human being. No one can grow up if they don't deal with the awful side of themselves that hates everything. To repress it, is to give it power. To let it out to play is to learn to control that side. Yes, I know it's a Freudian idea and Freud is out of favor at the moment, but it works in this case.
Keep your prophets, preachers and shamans. I'll take Holden Caulfield over them any day."-

I’ve just read the whole article online. I couldn’t have written it better myself.
As for you, you might just be Holden.
Let’s try this; Hello, I’m your sister Phoebe.

Are you insane?
I love the Glass family.
I love everything that Salinger ever wrote. I’ve read it all.
I have a soft spot for Holden though, mostly because I’ve loved him since I was a wee little girl. I’ve read the Catcher more times than I care to admit. (in public, but ask me in private and I might tell)

Salinger really appeals to people who are complicated, sensitive and articulate who want to break free in some way while they are experiencing their teens. My A.S. means that I DO say exactly what is on my mind ALWAYS, I don't understand the concepts that control social interaction and thus just dont do it 'naturally' it's all a cognotive process to me. I think my social ineptness is often taken as rude, blunt, sussinct, or inspired and thus the likening. What it actually means is that part of my brain doesn't work properly. We are who we are, nothing more and nothing less and my philosophy of life has evolved in direct response to my life experience, how could I be less than the sum total of such and how could I be more.

It's good to know that there are othere people out there who, live in a permanent state of belwilderment, dont understand people, forget to eat for a week, appreciate the beauty of the world and can't watch the news.
I feel much less alone in the world today thanks to your post
I also believe those who matter dont mind and those who mind dont matter ... wasn't it Dr Seuss who said that?

Dr seuss also wrote green eggs and ham, too many daves and the green pants..........those scary green pants that used to pop out from behind shadowy trees with littled beaded juniper berries......... Is it me really typing this? I should have gotten over the booze fuelled blog posting last night. Hi

I would do this, as you suggested on my blog, but I can't stomach talking about myself for at least another .... 4 days, probably

You see how many people here appreciate the person you are? I wish for your sake you could 'get better' but then you would quite surely be diminished. My wish for you is that you find life manageable for as much time as possible.
I can't watch the news either.-

There is a LOT on there I can relate to...
All of us who see others like us in these blogs should get together and poke fun at those blissfully ignorant drones who think themselves 'normal' sometime! lol

Like I have always said.

I read somewhere the only thing that is 'normal' is a setting on your tumble dryer.
I don't have a tumble drier so I wouldn't know, I do however use the ones at the laundrette, but they only have hot & cool settings, and something inbetween that I can never remember 'cos I never use it, 'cos it's called something that doesn't make sense, but it isn't 'normal'. .... is that normal?
